Manufacturer of building materials from agricultural crops attends Forest Products Industry conference and and Dare Global plant opening to evaluate board making opportunities in China.

The Grand Opening of the Dare Global Group 200,000 m³ MDF/HDF plant was the occasion to invite Keith Gorzell and an associate of AgriComposite Technology Inc. to Nanjing for the Dare sponsored Forest Industry conference and new plant tour. The conference was an excellent occasion to meet with international leaders in the composite board industry and to have informative talks with Dare management concerning opportunities to manufacture board from rice crops in southern China.

The trip also included visits to prospective clients and location in northern China seeking facilities to manufacturing using local resources.

A conglomerate enterprise in northeastern China invited Keith Gorzell, Vice President of Meadowood Industries, Inc., to visit as their guest and explore possibilities of producing board and other building materials from rice straw.

The two week trip during May 2000 included investigation of raw material resources, manufacturing plant sites, constructions methods, building materials markets, and tours of the regional area. Both parties considered the visit very useful. They are now discussing methods of structuring a business relationship and securing financing for possible projects.

Meadowood Industries, Inc. announces a new Web site to provide information and images about the environmental issues and sustainable agriculture concerns surrounding Oregon grass seed production, field burning, and crop resource utilization.

The site also describes the company's unique decorative and structural boards, panels, and molded products, made from Oregon ryegrass and other crops. These unique green building materials combine technology with nature to provide sturdy and beautiful items for the design professional, or builder, and components for furniture, cabinetry or display fixtures.

The company's technology provides value-added alternative uses for grass seed straw, the renewable resource that remains in the fields after harvest each year.
